OLD FLIP (Yachiyo City, Chiba Prefecture), which operates the second-hand clothing stores "Go! Go! FURUGI" and "Re-Collect" mainly in the Kanto region, is focusing on selling black-dyed second-hand clothing. In June of this year, it became a subsidiary of Yamano Holdings, which operates beauty salons and Japanese-style jewelry stores. Going forward, the company plans to expand its black-dyeing business by combining it with the group's resources.
OLD FLIP (Yachiyo City, Chiba Prefecture), which operates second-hand clothing stores such as "Go! Go! FURUGI" in commercial facilities, is expanding into a new business model of dealing in reconstructed (remade) kimonos and black-dyed second-hand clothing. It has launched its own brand called "zivun" and has opened pop-up stores at the Imperial Hotel and Laforet Harajuku. As the number of second-hand clothing stores opening in commercial facilities increases, the company aims to differentiate itself from competitors by adopting a store concept of "spreading Japanese culture and traditional crafts to the world in a new way" (Director Masahiro Imamura). By dealing in a wide range of products that are unfamiliar overseas, it also hopes to attract inbound customers.
