Our concept centers on cherishing Japanese craftsmanship and weaving a new future for kimono that have fulfilled their original purpose. We are dedicated to using 100% silk fabrics and threads, tailoring each piece to highlight the texture and traditional patterns of the material.

Mukafu embodies the meanings of “to face,” “to welcome,” and “to move forward.”
The creation begins by “facing” the fabric—kimono that have been taken apart and returned to their original cloth form.
Once the kimono’s previous life ends, it is “welcomed” once again in a new form into someone’s hands.
From the past to the future, the story of the kimono continues to “move forward,” woven anew with every transformation.
